6th Annual AABL Homerun
Derby
The following are derby rules and regulations…
- Round 1
- In the
qualification round you must register at least one homerun to qualify
for the next round.
- All homeruns hit
in Round 1 will accrue to Round 2 (if necessary)
- Each contestant
will receive 10 outs…all contact NOT a homerun will be recorded as an
out
- Round 2
- All homeruns from
first round will accrue to the second round
- IF less than 6
contestants qualify out of Round 1, all non-qualifiers will receive
another round until the Top 8 is reached
- Tie-breakers will
be settled in a 5 out head-to-head format
- Championship Round
- Qualifiers will
compete receiving 5 outs with a clean slate, all contact not a homerun
being an out
- Player with the
highest number of homeruns in the Championship Round will be the 2007
AABL Homerun Derby Champion.
- Tie-breakers will
be settled in a 3 out head-to-head format
- General Rules and Regulations
- $10 to Enter
- Winner takes 75% of purse and a trophy, 2nd
place gets 25%
- NO REFUNDS FOR ANY
REASON
- Clothing: You must wear your team jersey, only top
is necessary, shorts are allowed.
- No cleats, BP mat
will be at home plate, soft soled sneakers only
- You may bring your
own pitcher, L-screen, throwing platform, and BP cage will be setup.
Distance of pitcher is at your own discretion. A
pitcher can be provided if needed.
- Baseball will be
provided, you must hit with the balls provided. Balls will be kept new
and managed for fairness
- All contestants
will be expected to help shag and retrieve balls in order to keep things
running smoothly and for quick turnaround between contestants.

Hitting
order will be determined by drawing numbers at time of derby
